Dear Blog Readers,
There have been some requests for more blog entries and more pictures, and I would be happy to oblige. One small tecncal difficulty I have been having doing this is having a computer with internet access. We have been very fortunate that until now, my sister Tamar has been my "ghost writer" posting pics and updates. We are grateful for the time she carved out of her very busy schedule, and dedication to making this blog aestethically readable :).
The Landon Family has been preoccupied with trying to make "the most out of the time we have together." In today's age of the dangers of "distracted parenting," I'm sure you'll understand why we've chosen not to have internet access in the home (yes, the fact that our children are becoming computer literate did contribute to our decision as well).
Soooo, in the meantime, I have gotten a "handheld device" as our main phone, that also has email capabilities, and I have been trying to upload posts from time to time to Facebook. If you would like to follow us there, please send a "friend request" to Miriam Landon on the Facebook Website. I thought I would be able to upload to this blog instead, but it is proving to be too difficult to do with any frquency. Right now, the only reason I can post this, is because I am using the hospital computer lab.
Menschi is undergoing his last scan of the week (MRI of the Chest/Abdomen), and I thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. I do not know where we'd be without all of you, and it makes the isolation of this experience that much more bearable, so thank you, thank you thank you.
Amazingly enough, this entire week at Egleston (our original hospital we started at) was an ENTIRELY NEW experience for Menachem Shalom. He didn't remember the hospital, the staff, nothing at all seemed familiar --- you see, there is an upside to forgetting!!!! He is certainly a trooper, I will not deny it, but it was so great to "show him off" to all the people who were involved in his care when his very life was so tenuous. Tears and Inspiration abound; Hodu L'Hashem Ki Tov Ki L'olam Chasdo!!! (Thanks to HaShem's Goodness, His Kindness is Eternal!)
